About

The Creators Conference
- the first international conference in Sweden arranged by the creators themselves and their professional organizations.

We will be presenting three international panels representing the entire music industry. Publishers, managers, legal advisors, inventors, consumers, legislators and, of course, creators.
“Which Way” About future technical choices of paths.
“And the Middlemen” About future key roles in our industry.
“So, do you want it” About future consumers needs.

The idea for the event was conceived by SKAP (the Swedish Society of Popular Music Composers) as a means of highlighting the situation of the creators as regards copyright, the future of the industry and technology in a solution-orientated way. The idea will now become reality on 10 March 2010 in association with the Society of Swedish Composers, FST, and the Swedish Music Information Centre, a subsidiary of the Swedish Performing Rights Society, STIM.

The purpose of the Conference is to discuss: How to provide widespread, affordable access to content for the public and to encourage a dynamic creative culture, while returning value to the creators. We want to discuss theese questions in a progressive way and we are looking forward to finding new solutions to todays issues and hot topics!
